About Rikyu

Rikyu -RIKYU- Shimbashi Bonsai QUTOTEN.

Sen no Rikyu, the tea master who perfected the culture of wabi-cha, is said to have worked with Kyoto artisans to create matcha bowls suitable for the tea ceremony.

QUTOTEN.'s model "Rikyu" is a flowerpot inspired by a matcha bowl known as the Rikyu style.
Our aim was to create a "wabi-sabi" presence that blends naturally into everyday life without being too assertive.

This model, "Rikyu," best embodies one of QUTOTEN.'s philosophies: "Don't stand out, blend in."
