Hagi is a symbol for July, and sansho fish is a seasonal word for summer.
In the original design, there was a wild boar in the place of this large Japanese pepper fish, giving it the colloquial title ``Boar in Hagi''.

Yuta Niwa
Using traditional Japanese painting techniques and materials, I create works with motifs of giant salamanders and catfish, which are symbols of disasters such as earthquakes and infectious diseases.
